{"id":16379,"date":"2015-08-05T12:44:00","date_gmt":"2015-08-05T17:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jh.southloophvac.com\/?p=16379"},"modified":"2015-08-05T12:44:00","modified_gmt":"2015-08-05T17:44:00","slug":"by-the-way","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jonhaines.com\/philosophy\/by-the-way\/","title":{"rendered":"By the way\u2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday morning I left Chicago with my car packed to the point where you can&#8217;t even see how much is in it. <a href=\"https:\/\/jonhaines.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/wpid-20150805124349.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/jonhaines.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/wpid-20150805124349.jpg\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/jonhaines.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/wpid-20150805124402.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/jonhaines.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/wpid-20150805124402.jpg\" width=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When I arrived at St. Louis Abby last night around 730 (the first part of my monastic road trip), I found a group of friendly Benedictines whom I had heard about through an inquiry about teaching Latin.
