Rome
Not suprisingly Rome was in my top three trips all semester, if not right next to Switzerland. The week was on the way, we were all waiting to depart from Gaming. On November 7, 2008 we boarded the buses for Rome and left at 7:00 pm from the Kartause. I sat with some new people hoping to meet them and get to know them. I ended up sort of sitting next to a girl that I thought was pretty but didn’t want to talk to anyone. I forget who it was. So we rode down stopped for a break, I bought a candy bar and chatted outside the station. At this point I could easily have fun with (perhaps bcs make fun of) Caitiln because we were sort of going back and forth with comments about stuff we knew about each other. All I can say is she is such a woman…with everything good and bad that comes with it-same with Boylan and Bugos, but their sense of fun is not my sense of fun I realized at this point. I was trying to make mine like hers for a while and I just wasn’t raised to view fun as making cookies while Mom grades homework. We I was hanging a lot more with Phil and John Feeley and Nick Winter. We got back on the bus and I finally fell asleep and we woke up for breakfast in the early morning at Autostrata where a snack breakfast was distributed but alot of people bought capuccinos in the rest stop area anyways. They were really expensive so I wouldn’t get anything. These stops were designed so you had to walk through all the isles before you could leave so you had to see all their products and then come to the register to pay. Now that everyone was back on the bus and awake we were driving the final stretch into Rome and there were finally buildings around. After waiting a long time I looked out the right side and saw we were pulling into the hotel area finally as the sun was higher in the sky, around 10:00. It was called Hotel Gelsomino, Largo Tommaso Perassi, 10, 00163 Rome Tel: (0039)(0)6-6641-1107.
