“The Greatest Crisis in the World Is One of Faith, Especially in Europe” (gran crisis de este mundo, pero especialmente de Europa, es una crisis de fe)
“gran crisis de este mundo, pero especialmente de Europa, es una crisis de fe”
I completely agree. I would become even more specific and say that it is based in a lack of understanding of why 'faith' is something reasonable to begin with. The crisis of faith is caused by a belief that only that which can be empirically demonstrated is worth believing. Faith is considered to be a cowardly and naive way of knowing about the world.
However, I would argue that everyone, even those people who think 'faith' is a naive way of knowing, use it every day. They have faith in the news reporter, even though they have no way of confirming what happened 5,000 miles away in Afghanistan. They have faith in many small ways every day.
I simply feel that, given what I have read and experienced, though I don't have empirical demonstrable evidence, that Christ was the son of God. Oh, and also that God exists.
