Biking from ~Geneva to ~Nice
After the trip to Poland, I met a friend in Geneva. I haven’t done any serious biking/packing since I was about 17 years old. That changed this summer.
Geneva is a boring city by the way, don’t go out of your way. But it was a great starting point to access Mont Blanc/Chamonix. The mountain is stunning and the bike ride downhill from there was even more stunning. The downhill ride provided some of the best views of any countryside I’d ever seen, as well as the greatest speeds I’ve ever hit on two wheels, most of which (sometimes my phone battery died) I recorded on GPS and can be seen below
And some of the passes – at 85km/hr – we got on the GoPro.The ride from Chamonix to Annecy was certainly the most difficult. Two days were in constant rain, and most of it was uphill. At the end though, we met a friendly Englishman who put us up in his campervan and helped us recover our spirits with spirits, eggs and chips. From Annecy
La Mure to La Sallette
La Sallette to Sisteron:
Sisteron to Rians
Rians to Saint-Maximin
Here’s the whole thing:
