Jon connects leaders and organizations to Catholic philosophical and theological resources to battle for the soul of the western world.
After working several years in nonprofit administration, Jon began studies in philosophy at Center for Thomistic Studies (CTS) in Houston. CTS is an emerging authority on the philosophy of Thomas Aquinas, Medieval Philosophy and its relation to modern philosophical problems. His major areas of academic interest are Thomistic Philosophy, Philosophy of Science, Natural Law, Faith and Reason as well as Bioethics.
As the Assistant Director at Serra International (2011-2014), Jon’s role in the organization can best be summarized by enhancing and aligning its image and brand with its mission to encourage vocations to the priesthood and vowed religious life. To achieve these goals, he established and managed Serra’s social media accounts; filmed and edited videos; wrote promotional material; and delivered Serra’s messages through blogging, web design, speaking, and writing. He assisted in organizing national and international events, as well as incorporated efficient solutions into multifaceted operations. Jon began blogging with “Battle for the Core” in 2011 and quickly was highly ranked by St. Peters list in the top 10 blogs.
Born in Pittsburgh, grew up in Columbus, studied in Steubenville Ohio and lived around the world, Jon received an MA in Philosophy and a BA in Classical Languages and Philosophy from Franciscan University of Steubenville. He has a particularly strong interest in other cultures, languages and philosophies. His interest and skill with rapidly-evolving electronic communication harness these energies to the tasks of developing and managing emerging forms of human communication.
